Introducing Vezax SaroNyQuil
|
General Vezax is the perfect boss encounter for those who like the green substance contained within Nyquil bottles. He takes those bottles and changes their shape and appear into SaroNyQuil. It is an excellent product name I know...I created it myself!
Anyways, his target audience for his new product is healers; very mana-hungry healers. We break crystals and we the healers get in on all that green shit on the floor before it seeps into the cracks of the floor. We can't stop craving it! We keep beating on Vezax to give us more until we realized, that in doing so, we actually killed him.

Oh well, we'll have to learn to suppress our addiction for a week now. In the mean time, that bitch Sara (not our paladin) will need to learn how to be more quiet, because we are now just one room away. And Redlightnin wants to get his hands all over her... |

Shall I push the button?
|
I hate Mimiron, plain and simple. This is the worst boss fight in the game for a healer due to the insane amount of AoE healing that needs to be dished out. I swore at my monitor all damn night due to the stupid mechanics of this fight. After much time spent, we won! And for some strange reason, Mimiron grew in size. I am compelled to attribute that to Letum, our esteemed gnome warlock. Gnomes do strange things and, well, for him he kept shooting his "stuff" at Mimiron's head all night. What that stuff is, I don't think we will know.

Mimiron finally decided to let us graduate from crash test school or whatever and move on to that big Faceless One (he has a face) General Vezax. Vezax will die on Sunday, the fight is a joke. The serene environment of Ulduar takes a nice dark twist once you enter the Descent to Madness. The art looks fantastic! |

Where have I seen you before?
|
Thorim suffers from an identity crisis, as well as a physical one. Before Patch 3.1, he was shorter and thinner. According to those wenches in the villiage in Storm Peaks, they all want him...for whatever reason. I could understand their yearning. But now?!

Thorim's quite changed! He's taller, probably in BOTH ways, but he's packed on the pounds! I guess you win some and lose some. For those ladies, I guess they will have to determine what they want.
Clearly his idiot brother Loken had something to do with it. Or maybe Yogg-Saron. Either way, he pretty much hates you now for subjecting him to this crap he's had to endure since you first met him in that lonely little tower (which by the way, takes you to the middle of Dragonblight if you Slowfall off with a motorcycle).
Mimiron is next. While messing around in the 10-man version is fun, the fight presents an interesting mechanic that I believe only was best put by a GLA Scud Launcher in C&C Generals:
"SHALL I PUSH THE BUTTON?" |

In the garden of Eden
|

Freya takes good care of her little garden in the Eden that is Ulduar. Herbalists will love her room, where there are incredible amounts foliage and herbs. Perfect little things to bring to your home and spruce (pardon the pun?) things up a bit.
Any lucky alchemist will also appreciate her cache. One of our alchemists, Moril, was reciting what the contents were for about 10 seconds and still wasn't even halfway throught the list.
If you notice, Hodir hangs his head in sorrow that he has been joined by another Watcher. He wanted to be the only Watcher to help us with Yogg-Saron, but alas, the woman always have to come in and ruin the fun for the man.
<3 the ladies! |

Damn cats!
|
Auriaya loves cats. I love cats. But not all 25 people in a raid love cats. Auriaya is perhaps the worst boss pull in WoW. The timing is so fucking bad that one wrong move and you are pounced.
Pounce = death, just fyi.
She's no Crazy Cat Lady like the one crone in The Simpsons, but God damn this fight!

Hodir is fun. Hodir doesn't believe you did the rep grind with his buddies until you beat him, which for some might come off as insulting. Did you do the actual dailies? Or did you just farm those Everfrost chips scatter around Storm Peaks? Either way, Hodir don't give a damn and will make that known to you.

Persuasion is a great tool to have. Will Thorim, Freya, and that damn gnome robot face the same consequences? Time will tell... |
