Late last week we killed that stupid tauren and broke Deathwing's spine to the point that not even Homer's Spine-O-Cylinder can save him. After watching some nice cutscenes, we went toe-to-toe with the biggest boss that perhaps WoW has ever seen.

While the setting of the Maelstrom sure pounds the shit out of the Frozen Throne, the fight doesn't seem to have the same feel that The Lich King did honestly. What's really stopping us from taking a meat cleaver to his arms / wings and just kicking his sorry ass off the platform and dumping him into the ocean to drown? Don't get me wrong, the scale of the fight is incredible. But in terms of a personal elation at seeing a boss die...Lich King still sits high up there. Ultimately, watching Deathwing wrangle around and then being vaporized *SPOILERS* just wasn't the same as the ending portion of Lich King in ICC.

But whatever the comparisons, Blizzard forcing me to ONCE AGAIN go Disc for the last boss of the last raid content was not surprising. We shall start heroics in Dragon Soul next week no doubt.

The Dragon Soul raid needs to ask itself a question, "are you ready?" Some guild members stepped into the LFR version of the instance and pretty much laughed at it. Stepping into the 10m normal version, those laughs are certainly carried over. The first 4 bosses are an absolute joke. It wasn't until Ultra when we stretched our cockiness too far and wiped a few times. After we killed him though, we had to stop because Carl had peaked and needed some hours to recharge.

Also, we became the first guild on the server, and probably the world, to have a black mage receive a legendary. Liquidhal resonates his black nature; he demanded reparations for all the years of being a slave...to the arcane playstyle. It's a good thing our government doesn't cave in...because we did.

After weeks of constant sub-20% wipes because of people getting surrounded by big flaming balls, we finally shoved that chill pill down Rag's throat. And for the record...because it has been asked so many damn times over Vent...Ragnaros gives 480 rep if you are a HUMAN! Go humans! All you other races can suck our dicks.

Overall, an awesome fight! I can't wait to see the heroic version. But for now, we can sit back and wait till next week when we can go in and disabuse the shit out of Heroic Shannox.

And thus now we begin the insufferable (at the time)...I mean...heavily nerfed (now) heroic modes of Firelands.

Future heroic kills I will just amend this post instead of boring you to death with new ones.

Because I don't really know much about this guy other than he's a reskinned fel demon from Outland, Baleroc is Cata's equivalent of XT hard mode in Ulduar. The DPS is very tight and if one person dies, at least in 10m, you are gonna be hurtin. Regardless, the coordination to swap DPS on crystals, healers on torment / tanks...it's a lot. But hey! Our first night trying this guy and we downed him. Took us I think 2 or 3 attempts.

Blizzard then had another nostalgia trip by adding in a bridge cinematic to close the gap from Baleroc to Fandral. Remember SSC did that, except it wasn't a cinematic? I digress.

You'll be joining your son soon enough Fandral...

When you are tasked to "protect" an insane archdruid like Fandral, I don't blame the person in charge to lose their mind either. So is the case of Alysra, who thought it would be better to hand Fandral over to Ragnaros than put up baby-sitting the pussy because he STILL can't get over the fact that his son is dead...and has been dead for a very fucking long time.

So despite thinking she did us a favor, she died for it and was reborn as Alysrazor. The fight is a complex one for sure. Phase 2, which lasts 20 seconds, is the best part. Tornados can be equated to speeding cars down a freeway, which is a great segway because Pinup, Liquidhal, and myself can relate. We're all Chicagoans so we know what its like to dodge cars and jump in-and-out of lanes really quickly. Such is life here and such is Alysrazor's as well. Too bad it didn't work out so well.

As a side note, my Holy deeps is still rotten; even when the fiery buzzard is stuck on the ground. Oh well...but I do get to look forward to Baleroc and inflated healing numbers!

Well we decided to pay a visit to hell and see what's cookin down there. We came across a Molten Core rip off! Seriously Blizzard...Ancient Core Hounds have a chance to give you Core Leather if skinned in Firelands? Are you guys on some sort of nostalgia trip or something?!

Anyways, allow me to introduce you to our early victims. These bosses were killed in 10m since we still don't have sufficient numbers to get 25m back into shape. We are still recruiting too!

First up, some big lava spider!

Aside from the yawn-'o-rama that this fight is early on, it starts to gradually get more interesting later on when she comes down from hiding on top of her web.

Next...

After clearing out enough mobs to take up the country of Russia from end-to-end, we fought Shannox and his two lovely pups. Please forgive the absolutely HORRIBLE camera angle because I didn't want to get the damn turtles in the shot behind it and their "you can't turn these off" red name plates.

Moving on...

Fighting this guy, at least for Pinupgirl, is like driving around a culdesac with no exit points. Just constantly going in circles...I'm surprised he didn't get dizzy and fall into the lava...which ticks for 17.5k I might add...because I tried to Life Grip him into it while he was AFK.

Next will be either Big Bird or the Gate Keeper. Stay tuned!

We are currently recruiting DPS and healers to supplement our raiding roster to get our 25m back into action. Don't think though we have been slacking off in the raiding department. We've been doing 10m to keep us busy and learn more heroics. We've thus far killed the following on heroic in 10m:

-Halfus
-Magmaw
-Maloriak
-Atramedes
-Chim

We have been Learning Valiona and Theralion and should have that duo soon.

Actually, he didn't. But I did get your attention didn't I?

The first time The Company killed Nefarian was a long time ago, so long ago that I don't even remember the date. Regardless, I just remember priest and mage tier chest dropped along with AssCandy™. That really cemented our reputation on the server.

Hiphopunism from Lethality once called our guild "a guild in ZG gear with an Ashkandi." We've proudly carried around that title ever since.

Jump to today where we once again see Nefarian in full form. I miss the old class calls really. Wild polymorphs, Blessing of Protections on Nefarian, etc. It was good to see he managed to stitch back on Onyxia's head, only to have it torn off again.

Why can't we take both of their heads to Stormwind and turn them in for something? Oh right, Blizzard will probably recycle those two AGAIN for the final encounter against Deathwing.

Warcraft 2 Strikes Back!

Cho'gall is one of the characters in the Warcraft series that has been around for quite a long time. If anyone remembers Warcraft 2 at all, you no doubt have seen Cho'gall. Back then, of course, he was corruption-free and served the Horde. After Warcraft 2, he basically disappears until the WoW comic series when he suddenly comes out of nowhere. He goes after C'thun's rotting carcass, sucks in a ton of power, and becomes the monstrosity that we see in WoW.

Cho'gall had 100 HP in Warcraft 2.

In WoW, he's got 101 million HP.

We were also missing one of our most important "HAS-BEEN" Death Knights in the picture. I've taken the liberty of adding him in.

That amount of HP wasn't enough then, and it wasn't enough now.
